As someone who's boyfriend is a serious gamer, my crochet project so far have been mostly video game related and with that in mind I'm about to embark on perhaps my most challenging crochet project yet. I've had a small Sackboy (the charcter from Little Big Planet on the PS3) for some time now and have churned out several different colours, styles and seasonal variations of him but now I have found a new pattern that actually incorportes the zip so I'm going to give it a bash.
The pattern itself seems fairly straight forward but there are some new techniques for me to work with and the sewing in of the zip will test me. For some reason I can corchet well but I struggle on the sewing aspect, hopefully this is something that will improve as I continue. I've been asked to make one of these Sackboy's for a friend of mine but I'm going to make a practise one first as I wouldn't feel happy giving him something I wasn't happy with.
As I progress I'll post pictures and here's hoping it goes well. If I can master this then I can definitely see myself spending a lot of time making these little dudes, they are so cute!!
Here's a picture of a couple of my little Sackboy dolls, the brown one id for my cousin, the cyclops is one I made for my son and the white one is hanging in my car. Poor little dude makes me smile even though he looks a bit sad, does that make me mean?
