I spent the best part of an hour earlier on a lovely American website filling my cart with discount wool, crochet hooks and zips for my Sackboys only to find out that they don't ship to the UK. I could have cried!!
I pulled myself together and found another site that sold the same wool, not on sale unfortunately and no zips but I've placed an order and will eagely await my Red Heart Super Saver wool in many gorgeous colours. I will photograph my haul when it arrives. I should be in my new home complete with it's new crochet room, yay!!
Do you fellow UK crafters find it hard to find decent materials over here and if you do are the prices much higher than in the US?
I usually stick to the same ole sites. But I do check eBay 1st. I hate buying stuff on ebay and then realising its coming from China. Then you have to ait 3 weeks for it to arrive Grrrrrrr!
Lol I'm cursing the timing a little bit with all of the holidays and moving but at least it'll motivate me to get the house done quickly so that as soon as the wool arrives I can crack on!
As I find good and reliable sites I'll post them for anyone who's into crochet etc because it helps to know someone who's used a site before if you're a bit unsure (assuming that's ok with ms apple of course). I found a brilliant site to order safety eyes from thanks to someone recommending it and it's much cheaper than over here.
I absolutely hate that too! Esp. when you can't get it over here... :( or the postage is just so expensive that it just isn't worth it.
I must admit I often check ebay but tbh most of it is more expensive on there just lately or from Japan or China and it takes an age to get here, if it shows up at all ;)
...and the holidays are just a bummer on our postal system!...
