We heard Tobin (2 and a half) bummbling around in his bedroom and thought we'd let him come and snuggle with us in bed as it was our first morning in the new house. Things didn't really go to plan, as soon as he came in the room I knew something was wrong and he confirmed that by throwing up about 5 seconds later.
He threw up steadily for about an hour and a half, nothing was staying down not even water. I thought we were in for a rough day but thankfully he fell asleep on the sofa while me and his Dad carried on unpacking and when he woke up he was much better. Demanding ice pops and biscuits and touch wood he's been fine since. I'm glad he recovered so quickly, I hate him being poorly. I'm very soppy about ill children, I think its because they don't know whats happening to them and you cant really explain it to liitle ones.
Poor Tobin. Last thing you need in a new house is a poorly child throwing up whilst you're desperate to unpack. It's nice to know he settled down and felt better later. Have you settled in properly yet?
Yeah, I think we're getting there now. Spent yesterday sorting out the old house and it's just a matter of fine tuning at the new place. I took some pictures as I left the old house yesterday, said bye to the place. I'll post some later once I'm on the computer and some pics of the new place too.
Today is probably going to be my first proper cooking in the house, need to get to grips with the oven. We've gone from an electric fan assisted that I loved to a gas one that seems to take much longer so I'm keeping everything crossed I don't mangle today's roast dinner.
Got to do some dreaded phone calls today, gas/electric and the water board. I was told I needed to get a meter reading but after opening several flaps on our street I found nothing that resembled a meter so god knows where it is. Will see if they can read it for me.
Have been jipped again by Paul's car insurance, I rang my provider and changed address no problem and free of charge. He rang his provider and there's a £40 admin fee! This happened last time we moved, we were both with different companies to now but my move was free and his premium went up. I swear they make the rules up as they go along!
Anyhoo enough grumbling, the main thing is that we're in and it's lovely. It feels like a real family home and I'm enjoying everyday!
